Adult Day Programs

Valley Village operates Adult Development Centers and Adult Day Health Care Centers in the San Fernando Valley. The day program curriculum includes communication skills training, sensory integration training, physical therapy and gross motor exercises, art and ceramics classes, daily living skills training, and community outings. Valley Village provides transportation to our clients for outings.

The East and West Valley Adult Day Centers host an expanded program featuring a variety of activities for clients who may function at more independent levels. These activities include traditional disciplines such as motor skills development, life skills, and arts and crafts.

The Adult Day Health Care Centers, one in Winnetka and the other in Sunland offer day activities to medically fragile clients. The programs at these centers include sensory stimulation, physical fitness, speech therapy, nutritional counseling, occupational therapy, and medical and nursing services.

At Valley Village, our range of specialized Adult Day Programs is tailored to promote personal and independent growth, social skills, well-being, and a sense of community.

Our five Adult Day Programs are in the following three different locations in the San Fernando Valley.

1. Behavior Management Program – Winnetka CA. 

• This program is for those with behavioral challenges seeking behavior management and targeted support.
• We offer services such as independent living skills, social skills, community outings, sensory stimulation and motor skills, music appreciation, photography and Art, ceramics, and so much more!
• Staffing ratio of 1:3.

2. Development Center Program – Winnetka CA.

• This Program aims to enhance our participants’ developmental milestones and skills, offering them opportunities to improve their independent living, social, and motor skills.
• We offer services including independent and group living skills, social skills, community outings, and language development, sensory stimulation, gross/fine motor skills development, Music and Art appreciation, and Photography and Ceramics Workshops.
• Staffing ratio of 1:4.

3. Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC) Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) – Winnetka CA.

• This program offers services to those medically fragile and with a developmental disability.
• Offering specialized services, including professional nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, mental health services, personal care, nutritional meals and counseling, and so much more!
• Staffing ratio of 1:3.

4. Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC) Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS), and 5. Development Center Program – Sunland CA.

• This location offers combined services integrating the services of an ADHC/CBAS center with a Development Center, offering both the specialized services mentioned above for the ADHC and the Development Center Services, respectively.
• Staffing ratio of 1:3.
